Musheerabad: National Federation of Indian Road Transport Workers president HV Anantha Subba Rao said that it is impossible to dismiss RTC employees as per Industrial Disputes Act and there is no concept called 'self-dismiss,' refuting the statement made by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao that RTC employees have invited self-dismissal by not attending to duties. He was speaking at a press conference here organised by RTC JAC co-convener Raji Reddy on Wednesday.

Speaking to media, Anantha Ramaiah termed KCR's comments as ridiculous and said that RTC employees cannot be dismissed by the state government as per Industrial Disputes Act.

Threatening 48,000 employees at one go, instead of trying to fulfil their just demands, should be condemned, he said. Anantha Ramulu assured the RTC employees that he would discuss with various national labour organisations and call for nation-wide protests expressing solidarity with the RTC strike.
