Wedding cheques for 3.9 cr distributed at Chandrayangutta
The Chandrayangutta MLA, Akbaruddin Owaisi along with MRO Bandlaguda, Farheen Shaikh, distributed Shaadi Mubarak and Kalyana Lakshmi scheme cheques among beneficiaries at a programme held at Prime Metro Garden Function hall in Chandryangutta on Wednesday.
Chandrayangutta: The Chandrayangutta MLA, Akbaruddin Owaisi along with MRO Bandlaguda, Farheen Shaikh, distributed Shaadi Mubarak and Kalyana Lakshmi scheme cheques among beneficiaries at a programme held at Prime Metro Garden Function hall in Chandryangutta on Wednesday.
MRO told the media persons that a total of 410 cheques were distributed in which 28 cheques were for Rs 51,000, 29 cheques for Rs 75,116 and 353 cheques were for Rs 1,00,116 totaling to nearly Rs 3.9 (3,89,47,312) crores. She also informed that in the next slot around 700 cheques would be distributed to beneficiaries shortly.
According to Chandrayangutta senior leader, Samad Bin Abdat, the process of disbursing additional 700 cheques was underway, and the cheques would be distributed within 2 weeks. He also said that in these 5 years since the launch of scheme, a total of 10,872 beneficiaries received the wedding cheques. "On the representation of Akbaruddin the amount has been increased from Rs 51,000 to Rs 75,116 in the last session of assembly in 2018.
Before elections, again he made a representation for increase in the amount and now the scheme amount is Rs 1,00,116," he added. Corporators Fahad Bin Abdat (Uppuguda), Mirza Saleem Baig (Riyasath Nagar), Abdul Wahab (Chandrayangutta) and other party workers and officers were present.
