Khammam: Congress leaders unhappy over seniors' plan about Grads election
The Congress cadre in the erstwhile Khammam district seems to be unhappy with the leaders’ attitude and expressed their disappointment openly
Khammam: The Congress cadre in the erstwhile Khammam district seems to be unhappy with the leaders' attitude and expressed their disappointment openly.
The party cadre found fault with the senior leaders' decision to take up cycle yatra against gas and petrol price hike at a time when graduate elections are going on. Due to the cycle yatra, the party workers were unable to participate and concentrate in the election campaign, said a party senior worker.
Congress has huge cadre and vote bank in both Khammam and Bhadradri-Kothagudem districts and it proved in the MLA elections as out of 10 Assembly, Congress won six Assembly seats in the recent elections though the ruling TRS gave a tough competition. But due to lack of efficient leadership, glory and disappointment among the cadre is increasing every day.
Once again, the cadre is firing on the leaders for not taking graduate MLC election seriously and not participating in the campaign. Party workers and important cadre said while all political parties were in full swing during graduate MLC elections, but the Congress top leadership is not
focusing on it and spending valuable time with cycle yatra against hike of gas, petrol and diesel prices. Party workers alleged that CLP leader Mallu Bhatti
Vikramarka, who was supposed to hold complete responsibility of graduate MLC election, was busy with cycle yatra, which is scheduled to complete on March 12 in Khammam. Not only Vikramarka, but all district and mandal leaders were busy in cycle yatra, they added.
Party senior worker K Ramesh alleged that the party leaders were failing to utilise people's anti-wave against the ruling TRS. He said being party workers, they were unable to understand why the leaders were taking cycle yatra and involving total party cadre and leaders in it, instead of participating and conducting graduate MLC election campaign.
Many leaders expressed their disappointment as all other political parties were sweating out for winning the graduate elections, but the Congress leaders were spending time with unrelated issues, they added.
