Khammam: CPM demands cancellation of LRS
Police arresting a CPM leader, who was trying to lay siege to the Corporation office in Khammam on Wednesday
Tension prevailed for some time in Khammam on Wednesday when CPM leaders and activists in large numbers staged maha dharana demanding demolition of LRS and lifting of false cases on party leaders.

Earlier, they tried to lay siege to the corporation office. The police prevented them and took them into custody. They were shifted to the nearby police station. During the dharna, heated argument took place between the police and party leaders. The CPM leaders raised anti-government slogans.
Speaking on the occasion, CPM leaders MA Jabbar and Y Srikanth alleged that people are facing many problems after the implementation of GO NO 131. They demanded immediate cancellation of the LRS scheme in the State. They alleged that the police wantedly arrested CPM leaders and activists and filing false cases.
CPM leaders M Bharati, Y Srinivas, Y Vikram, T Lingaiah, B Padma, SK Meera, S Naveen Reddy, P Ramya, N Ramesh, V Srinivas Rao, SK Ghouse, B Venkat, M Ramana and others were participated in the dharna.
