Kurnool: The State government is firmly committed to bringing quality healthcare services closer to rural communities, said Kurnool MP Bastipati Nagaraju.

Out of 267 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs inaugurated virtually across the State by Health and Medical Education Minister Satya Kumar Yadav, 27 were launched in Kurnool district during a programme held at the Sunayana Auditorium on Tuesday.

MP Bastipati Nagaraju, Panyam MLA Gauru Charitha Reddy, Pattikonda MLA KE Shyam Babu, and Alur constituency in-charge Vaikuntham Jyothi participated in the event, where they unveiled foundation plaques for the new centres. Nagaraju noted that the facilities will provide primary healthcare, preventive services, and medical examinations locally, saving residents from traveling long distances for treatment. MLAs Gauru Charitha Reddy and KE Shyam Babu emphasized that the government prioritizes health infrastructure. They announced that each centre will offer 12 categories of medical services, 14 types of diagnostic tests, and 105 varieties of medicines completely free of cost. Furthermore, health monitoring is being reinforced through the Sanjeevani programme.

The 27 new centres are established in areas including Yatakalva, Mulugundam-1, Erladinne, Enagandla, Daulatapuram, Gummanur, Panchalingala-2, Ulchal-2, Gondiparla, Ingaladahall, Srirangapuram, Pyalakurty, Chinnahatti, Holagunda-1, Musanahalli, Manekurthi, Kurukunda, Thalagokulapadu, Erradoddi, Uyyalawada, Munagala, Polekal, Ratnapalli, Veldurthi-1, Ramallakota, Rampalli, and Pendekal. Leaders urged the public to fully utilize these accessible health resources.
