Devarakadra MLA calls for coordinated efforts to improve civic amenities

Mahabubnagar: Devarakadra MLA G. Madhusudhan Reddy (GMR) urged municipal officials and public representatives to work collectively for the comprehensive development of Bhoothpur Municipality. He attended the General Body meeting at the municipal office as chief guest and reviewed ongoing development works and public issues.

Councillors raised concerns over power supply, drainage, drinking water, sanitation, fogging and road conditions in their respective wards. The MLA directed officials to address grievances promptly and ensure regular Mission Bhagiratha water supply to all households. He also called for immediate steps to improve sanitation, drainage and mosquito-control measures during the monsoon.

Reddy inspected the proposed design of the new municipal office and said the modern building would be equipped with necessary facilities and completed within a year. He also discussed highway service road development with L&T representatives, stressing the need for lighting and repairs to side drains. Development needs of thandas within the municipality were also reviewed, with emphasis on roads, water, electricity and sanitation.
