Critically ill infant recovers fully at KIMS Cuddles
Nellore: The NICU medical team at KIMS Cuddles, Nellore, saved a critically ill 2.9-kg newborn suffering from severe breathing distress, shock, and suspected Persistent Pulmonary Hypertension (PPHN).
The team led by Dr Naveen, Dr Bhargav, and Dr Murarji administered High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV) and specialized vasodilators to stabilize the infant.
Thanks to 24-hour continuous monitoring, the baby transitioned off invasive ventilation by day three and breathed independently without oxygen by day 10.
