A Surya Koti Kiran, pursuing Computer Science Engineering (CSE) won bronze medal at the 'All India Inter University Championship' held at Punjab University, Chandigarh from March 12 to 17. He won one international, four national and 12 state medals.

B Chandrika (power lifting coach) bagged silver medal (84 Kg) at the 'Asian Pacific Classic and Equipped Power Lifting Championship 2019' held at Australia from February 25 to March 7. She won about 10 international, 10 national and 70 state medals to her credit. M Teja Suresh, pursuing Computer Science Engineering (CSE) won third place at the '14th Singapore Amateur Chess Championship-2018' held at Cairn Hill Community Club, Anthony Road, Singapore from August 12 to 18. He won about 15 international, 11 national and 28 state medals.

Arjuna awardee Vennam Jyothi Surekha, pursuing MBA was selected to the 'World Cup stage-1 and stage 3 championship' to be held at Medellin, Colombia in April 2019 and she would participate at Antalya, Turkey in May 2019. She was also selected for the 'Senior World Championship' which will be held at Netherlands in June 2019. Surekha also created new national record by securing 707 out of 720 at the selection trials held at Bhubaneswar. She won a total of 28 medals in 32 international tournaments which include eight gold, 12 silver and 8 bronze medals.
