Visakhapatnam: From a real-time spectrum analyser to a programmable signal generator, digital multi-meter to digital oscilloscope, and programmable dc power supply to RLC meter, a host of features and equipment form part of the engineering test and validation centre launched at A-Hub, Andhra University in Visakhapatnam.
Launching it on Wednesday, Andhra University Vice Chancellor GP Raja Sekhar informed that it is a collaborative venture of Andhra University and the Department of Science and Technology. “The state-of-the-art lab indicates AU’s immense support for research, startups and innovation. In future, many such labs will be set up on campus,” the V-C mentioned.
Developed in two phases, the first phase of the lab aimed at extending support to testing, measurement, product validation, prototyping, research and innovation. The next phase of the lab will be set up in two months.
The lab will support research and development from prototyping to deployment. Startups and students from various backgrounds can also use the facility for project development, from prototyping through deployment.
The lab was launched in the presence of Registrar of the university and director of Incubation Council K Rambabu, among others.
