Visakhapatnam: Equipped with cold storage facilities, live fish vending centre, among others, the first F.I.S.H (fresh indigenous, safe and healthy) kiosk was launched at RTC Complex in Visakhapatnam on Saturday.

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy virtually launched it marking the World Fisheries Day at RTC Complex.

The new facility aids in bringing home fresh stock of fish as the centre has ice boxes, containers to keep live fish, deep freezers, along with a host of other features.

The launch was attended by Agriculture Minister K Kannababu, Tourism Minister M Srinivasa Rao, District Collector V Vinay Chand and Visakhapatnam South MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar, among others.

Apart from launching the fish kiosk, the Chief Minister also inaugurated e-rickshaw facility through videoconference. The aqua bazaars aim at boosting the fisheries sector in the State.
