Tense situation prevailed at Old Town in Kurnool on Friday midnight when the activists of TDP and YSRCP clashed with each other.
Kurnool: Tense situation prevailed at Old Town in Kurnool on Friday midnight when the activists of TDP and YSRCP clashed with each other. In the scuffle, four persons belonging to YSRCP have suffered injuries.
However, the police controlled the situation and booked a case in this regard. On learning about the incident, YSRCP MLA candidate Hafeez Khan reached the spot and lodged a complaint with the I Town police station. Demanding immediate arrest of those responsible for attack, Hafeez Khan alleged the TDP activists were behaving in an unruly manner and trying to create unrest in Kurnool city.
CI Vikrama Simha said that two groups, YSRCP and TDP clashed with each other over a minor issue at a tea stall. The argument between them resulted to physical fight, he added. Based on the complaint, we have arrested four persons and they will be produced in the court for initiating further action, the CI stated.
