Close Escape: Toddler falls off jeep, survives miraculously
A toddler was injured after falling off a moving jeep in Kerala’s Idukki district.
Idukki: A toddler was injured after falling off a moving jeep in Kerala's Idukki district. The incident occurred at 10 pm on Sunday when the toddler's parents were returning from Palani temple in Tamil Nadu.
The toddler who was sitting on her mother's lap, fell while the jeep was turning. The parents hadn't realised about the missing child till the vehicle travelled almost 50 km. They only realised it when they reached home at 12.30 am that night. They called the police station and were informed that their child is safe.
Meanwhile, the baby crawled to a nearby forest check post where the forest officials on duty spotted the baby on a surveillance CCTV camera and rushed to rescue her. She was handed over to the police after minor first aid.
The incident is nothing short of miraculous, since the incident where it occurred is notorious for attacks by wild animals and stray dogs.
