In a tragic incident, a man has brutally murdered his wife and committed suicide as he couldn't tolerate her over cleanliness behaviour.
Mysore: In a tragic incident, a man has brutally murdered his wife and committed suicide as he couldn't tolerate her over cleanliness behaviour. This incident has taken place in Mysore.
Going into details, Shanthamurthy (40) and his wife Puttamani (38) got married 15 years ago. The couple has two children aged 12 and 7. Puttamani, who was very particular about cleanliness uses to allow her husband inside the house only after he takes a bath. Like that, he had to bath nearly ten times a day.
Even she uses to wash her children bags and books when they return from school. Though Shanthamurthy was fed up with his wife behaviour but managed himself. Over this, the couple uses to quarrel often.
In this context, they went to the farmland on Tuesday, where Puttamani annoyed Shanthamurthy with her over cleanliness behaviour. With this, he lost his cool and attacked her with a sharp-edged weapon, where she died on the spot with severe bleeding.
Later, Shanthamurthy reached the home and committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling fan. The children who returned from school in the evening found him hanging to the fan and alerted the neighbours.
Immediately, the locals informed the police. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and initiated the investigation. They found Puttamani died in the farmland. On the incident, the police registered a case and shifted the bodies to the hospital for post-mortem.
