Prime Minister Narendra Modi's full cabinet meeting involving security panel and economic affairs committee is expected to take some historic decisions. If the buzz doing the rounds in political circles is anything to go by, one of the major decisions is likely to be replacement of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman who has come in for heavy criticism over her failed economic policies.
Nirmala's budget too has faced a lot of flak from citizens. Sources say that Modi is considering the option of changing the finance minister. A well known economist or a banker is expected to take charge as finance minister, if rumours making the rounds are any indication. Kamat's name is also doing the rounds for new finance minister.
