Anand Mahindra challenges Elon Musk with this Jugaad Car
"I don't think Elon Musk & Tesla can match the low cost of this renewable energy-fuelled car," wrote Anand Mahindra.
Elon Musk's Tesla is the world's most valued automaker. The industrialist Anand Mahindra has found a desi vehicle that could challenge the American electric car company a run for its money. Tesla's innovative, all-electric cars have been admired for being more eco-friendly than cars that run on gasoline. The electric vehicle most significant advantage is the lack of harmful exhaust emissions, but on the other hand, Tesla cars are comparatively expensive to afford.
This desi car shared by Anand Mahindra is a low cost and fuelled by renewable energy - although emissions may be a problem.
On Twitter, Anand Mahindra tweeted a clip of the 'car' in question. "I don't think @elonmusk & Tesla can match the low cost of this renewable energy-fuelled car," he wrote while sharing the video, which shows a fancy bullock cart constructed to resemble a car.
The video tweeted by Mr Anand Mahindra shows the back part of an ambassador car pulled by cattle. The Chairman of Mahindra Group acknowledged that Tesla might still lead when it came to harmful emissions. "Not sure about the emissions level, though, if you take methane into account..." he shared.
The video got more than 312.4 K views on the Twitter platform, where it has also collected over 24,300 'likes' and was retweeted for more than 3.2 K times.
