Jaipur: A Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) jawan refused to take Rs 11 lakh dowry and instead to accept just Rs 11 from bride parents on his wedding day on November 8 in Jaipur.

The bridegroom Jitendra Singh has been offered Rs 11 lakh during the wedding, where Singh folded his hands and refused to accept the money. Respecting the tradition, he has just taken Rs 11 and coconuts from the bride's parents.

The next thing what he said has brought joyful tears in the eyes of bride father Govind Singh that "my best half is preparing for Rajasthan Judicial Services. If she clears in the exams and becomes a magistrate, it will be more valuable for my family than money." It was an emotional moment for all the attendees at the wedding ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, the bride's father Govind Singh said that he was shocked when Jitendra Singh refused to take the money. He thought that the groom's family was not happy with the wedding arrangements, but later felt glad that the groom's family is against dowry.
