Hyderabad: The Telangana State government on Wednesday announced a steep fee hike for management seats in private unaided non-minority dental colleges for the 2014-2015 academic year. The government has retained the existing fee structure for the category ‘A’ (convener quota) and category ‘B’ (EAMCET based management quota) for both the minority and non-minority private un-aided dental colleges.
This means that Rs 45,000 for convener quota and Rs 1.30 lakh for category B will be implemented for this academic year. However, the government has doubled the fee for category C1 (management quota) and C2 (NRI quota) for BDS course in private un-aided non-minority dental colleges. The dental aspirants will now have to shell out Rs four lakh for management quota seat and Rs five lakh for NRI quota seat.
