Most of you remember a couple of instances from our childhood days when we got sick and it was a testing period for both our parents and us. One thing that can be worse than falling sick is to see your child sick with painful symptoms. Also, when a child falls sick, the parents have to spend a lot of time in tending to the child’s needs, putting their daily activities on hold. So, naturally, it can be quite a hassle.

The most common symptoms of flu that affect children are fever, cough, cold, stuffy/runny nose, chills, loss of appetite, throat soreness, muscle pain, etc. Doctors prescribe a number of antibiotics that can be quite harsh on the young child’s body. Here are some natural tips to cure your kid’s flu.

Natural tips to cure your child’s flu are:
1.Heal With Hot Soup: When your child has flu and a congested respiratory tract, you can prepare some healthy hot chicken soup or vegetable broth, with no oil and a generous amount of pepper, and make your child drink the soup at least twice in a day. The hot, healthy soup has the ability to ease sore throat and even clear out a stuffy nose, thereby helping your kid find a good relief from these flu-related symptoms.
2.Honey To Reduce Cough: Cough, especially dry cough, is also one of the most common symptoms of flu. When your child is having coughing fits throughout the day, which is making him/her feel tired with chest pain, then you can prepare a mixture of garlic and honey and make your child consume the mixture, along with some hot water, in the morning. The antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of honey and garlic can ease away dry cough effectively.
3.Let Them Get That Rest: Many a times, young kids, even though are sick, tend to be active and carry on with playing and running around for hours. This may worsen the symptoms of the flu in children. It is very important to allow the body to rest and heal when it is affected by the viral flu. So, parents must ensure that their kid is getting enough rest.
