Rally to flag off on Sunday

While the Raid De Himalaya and Desert Storm are extremely famous, the Dakshin Dare is also turning out to be popular thanks to its scenic routes and challenging driving conditions. This year’s edition of the Maruti Dakshin Dare will kick off from Bengaluru on July 31.
This is the eighth edition of this rally and will traverse from Bengaluru to Coorg, Murdeshwar, Shimoga and will conclude in Goa on August 6. The scrutiny check for the vehicles will be conducted on July 30 while the official flag off will take place a day later at the Orion Mall in Bengaluru. A total distance of 2,200 km will be covered, which will have five legs of the rally.
There will be three categories for participants Ultimate Car, Ultimate Bike and Endurance. Last year’s winner was Sandeep Sharma and this time too it is likely to be a close battle between him and Suresh Rana so it is going to be interesting to watch how the rally unfolds.
