IIIT students selected for district Yoga team

Andhra Pradesh International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Nuzvid campus students were selected for School Games Federation of India (SGFI) Under-19 Yoga Krishna district team.

SGFI Under -19 Yoga boys and girls team selections were conducted at Nuzvid IIIT campus recently, said Principal V Vendata Dasu in a press release on Thursday. SGFI Under -19 Yoga district level competitions were conducted at the campus under the leadership of SGFI district secretary P Sarswathi, he said. The IIIT teams emerged the district championship, he added.

The selected district team would participate in SGFI Inter district Yoga championship at Ananthapuram in December, he said. Further he added that, even last year IIIT Yoga students participated in the National championship at New Delhi and won the medals.

The boys team have G Babu Rao, D Kasi Reddy, G Mani Ratnam, A Jaya Krishna, D Rama Krishna, Ch Suresh and J Sarath. The Girls team have A Yamini, P Chadra Kala Pavani, G Naga Lakshmi, L Nikhitha, T Jagadeeswari, NSVDN Lakshmi and N Gowri Durga.
