Despite having a lineup of practical, refined and affordable motorcycles in its fleet, Kawasaki has witnessed a dwindling interest of buyers since a while ago. Reason being the halt in upgrades in the looks and features of the motorcycles. Taking this into account, Kawasaki has refreshed the Ninja 650 while the Z650 will be also be launched in India, replacing the ER-6n.

Kawasaki unveiled the new Ninja 650 at the 2016 INTERMOT motorcycle show in Germany which grabbed a lot of attention. The all-new set of split headlamps and sharp tail section make it look more menacing. Additionally, the saddle height has been lowered and weight has been reduced by 19 kgs giving it a better power to weight ratio. Braking mechanics have been improved with Nissin and Bosch 91 ABS which could be standard and, the engine now gets Euro 4 compliant.

The Kawasaki Z650 or the ER-6n for India had all the practicality and power but its appearance did not match the engine capacity, as a 600cc motorcycle buyer demands a humongous looking machine. That won’t be the case now as the refreshed version has the ability to grab many eyeballs. The new Z650 now comes with a tweaked tank and extensions, more appealing headlamps and green coloured frame contrasting the body colour.

The new tubular frame has reduced the kerb weight which would maintain the power delivery despite the reduction of four PS of power. Both the bikes from Kawasaki are expected to be launched in India in January 2017. Moreover, the all-new Z900 naked street fighter and W800 classic motorcycle are also expected to follow the Kawasaki siblings to India.
