Nirmala school girls excel
City base Nirmala high school girl’s teams have excelled in 80th Grigg Memorial Vijayawada division zone games, which were held at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation (IGMC) stadium in the city recently. Nirmala high school clinched Throwball championship both in senior and junior section.

Nirmala high shcool girl teams stood first place in senior and junior Throwball and Softball game. The school players have showed excellent talent in all games. In Kabaddi GNR Municipal Corporation high school students played well and emerged junior and senior titles. Karnati Rammohana Rao high school students have excelled in Kho-Kho and clinched the title.
In the closing function VMC corporator P Jhansi Lakhsmi and Deputy Educational Officer (Dy EO) K Durga Prasad have given prizes to winners and runners. Speaking on the occasion Dy EO Durga Prasad said that students should be participated sports and games including education.
Sports are the part of education, he said. Vijayawada Physical Education Teachers Association president S Ramesh, secretary K Rajkumar, senior PET Eda Sulochana, Jaikisan school head master Sangaiah and others participated in the programme.
