Hundreds of spectator assembled to here this enjoy the flavor of classical music. The Vijayawada Music Academy is organizing this five days Music festival with the assistance of the Department of Language and Culture, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
Well-known musicians Nemani Somayajulu, Komanduri Seshadri, Malladi Suribabu, N Ch B Acharya, KS Govindarajan, Popuri Gowrinath, CVP Sastry, Vishnubhotla Sisters, Dr Dwaram Thyagaraju, K Sadguru Charan, M Vijaya Kumar, PS Phalgun, Seeram Subrahmanyam, KS Kalyanaraman, K.Lakshmi narasamma, N. Anuvratha, Hemadri Chandrakanth, Surabhi A Phani Bhushan, Kundurthi Aravind, Karthikeya Adinarayana Sarma and others were rendered five Thyagaraja keerthanas “Jagadanandkaraka” in Nata ragam, “Dudukugala” in Gowla ragam, “Sadhinchene oo Manasa” in Arabhi ragam, “Kanakana ruchira” in varali ragam and “Endaro Mahanubhavulu” in Sree ragam.
After this Pancharatna Keerthana ganam, regular morning music session was commenced with the vocal concert of Komanduri Saradyuthi of Tirupati. She has rendered “Raga ratna malikache” in Reetigowla ragam and “Chakkani rajamargame” in Kharahara priya ragam. The concert was supported by VSPG Shivani on violin and KV Kishore.
Dr. Dwaram Thyagaraju from Visakhapatnam started his vocal concert with “EE Vasudha” in Sahana Ragam, “Meru samana” in Mayamalavagoula ragam, “Eti Janmamidi” Varali ragam, “Nannu Vidichi” in Reetigowla ragam. With his fine voice he acclaimed laurels from audience. K Ananta Souri Rajan on violin and M Vijaya Kumar on mridangam well supported the concert.
Melody and modulating voice is the asset of Nallan Chakravarthula Buchaya Charyulu. He rendered the Thyagarajaswamy vari compostions like “Okamata Oka Banam”, “Klalanerchina”, “Vadanadyuthi”. Acharya’s vocal concert was ably supported by K Ananta Souri Rajan on violin, KV Ramakrishna on mridangam and SA Phanibhushan on Kanjeera.
Fine violin duet of B Mahidhar and V Satwika well played the compositions of Thyagaraja and received claps of experts gathered in the auditorium. They presented “Vandanamu” in Sahana ragam, “Nee valla guna doshamu” in Kapi ragam. The concert was supported by Kundurthi Aravind on mridangam, SA Phanibhushan on Kanjeera.
The morning session was concluded with the vocal concert of K Lakshminarasamma. She sang the keerthanas like “Vandanam Raghunandana” in Sahana ragam and “Brochevarevarura” in Sreeranjani ragam. K Ananta Souri Rajan on violin and B Sureshbabu on mridangam supported to the concert.
