An action plan has been formulated to develop Adikavi Nannaya Univerisity’s Malladi Satyalinga Naikar PG centre in Kakinada, said the Vice-Chancellor, Nannaya University, Murru Mutyala Naidu today. Speaking on the occasion, Prof Mutyala Naidu said that MPEd course is going to be started in Kakinada PG centre as part of the development of MSN PG centre of Nannaya University. He mentioned that a multi-purpose stadium is going to be constructed in 9.54 acres and special cricket ground will be developed in 7.1 acres.

He maintained that MBA healthcare and hospital management will be taken up with the cooperation of Hope hospital in 4.9 acres and added that multimedia and animation courses will be started in the engineering department. As far as science and technology, he said that yoga and fashion technology courses will be introduced in M.Sc and school of distant education will be set up in 7.8 acres.

He explained that HRD centre will be set up in 3.6 acres with the cooperation of the UGC and bio-diversity Park will also be set to protect endangered species. He maintained that medicinal plants park will also be set up in 7.6 acres under the aegis of C-Map. He further said that boy’s hostel to accommodate 300 students will be constructed and girl’s hostel will be remodeled.

Stating the MSN PG centres will benefit the students of Kakinada enormously, he said that the action plan has been formulated to bring new reforms and introduce new courses. He called upon everyone to come forward to develop PG centre under the aegis of Nannaya University.

Speaking on the occasion, special officer of the MSN PG centre, T Ashok said that the PG centre was far from development till now and expressed hope that this centre will be developed with the help a new action plan.

He opined that Kakinada will be developed on educational front with the development of this PG centre. He called upon the government and donors to come forward and develop the PG centre. University principals K Ramesh, P Suresh Verma, Dr A Matta Reddy and K Subba Rao along with academic dean Prof S Teki were present on the occasion.
