Indian Red Cross Society Krishna District, Department of Youth Service and Commissioner of College Education had jointly organised a three day training classes on Disaster Management and First Aid at Maris Stella College (MSC) Vijayawada which started on Wednesday.

Indian Red Cross Society Krishna District, Department of Youth Service and Commissioner of College Education had jointly organised a three day training classes on Disaster Management and First Aid at Maris Stella College (MSC) Vijayawada which started on Wednesday.

Concepts like Disaster management, First aid, basic life support skills, incident management, Cardio Pulmpnary Resuscitation (CPR), Fractures, Bleed management would be taught in the training classes.

National Indian Medical Association president Dr Samaram was the guest at the inaugural session and he explained about various concepts of disaster management, the drawbacks, and the importance of first aid to the students.

MSC correspondent Sr Sleeva opined that training classes on disaster management as highly useful to the students and they can learn first aid techniques to save themselves and others.

Training coordinator Dr P Usha explained that students will get awareness on by organising training classes and they can actively participate in social service activities by proper planning.

Indian Red Cross Society regional coordinator T Annamma explained the objectives of this three day training classes on disaster management. Resource persons C Nagaraju, Vijay, Nageswara Rao and Ravi were present.
