Dolly Shivani secures first spot in Under-9 girls archery
Cherukuri Dolly Shivani of Andhra Pradesh secured first place in under-9 girls archery championship in Vijayawada on Thursday.
Cherukuri Dolly Shivani of Andhra Pradesh secured first place in under-9 girls archery championship in Vijayawada on Thursday.
She got 338 points out of 360 points in the recurve discipline. Khushi and Gauri of Rajasthan and Maharashtra got second and third places in the event.
Gauri Ananda Rao of Maharashtra bagged first place recurve 15 meters event while her team won girls team championship. Andhra Pradesh stood at second place in the girls’ team championship. Similarly BH Tanishqu of Andhra Pradesh won 10 meters compound and 15 meters compound wings.
Besides, Jaidev of Telangana also performed well and secured first place in compound boys and individual Olympic medal round. However, the tourney would continue on Friday also.
Andhra Pradesh Archery Association has awarded medals to the winners. The officials of Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh also visited the sports event and praised the efforts of event organizers.
