Speed up UGD works, MP tells officials
MP Jayadev Galla reviewed underground drainage (UGD) scheme works in Guntur on Friday. He questioned reasons for the delay in execution and instructed the officials to speed up the project works and complete them within the stipulated time.
Guntur: MP Jayadev Galla reviewed underground drainage (UGD) scheme works in Guntur on Friday. He questioned reasons for the delay in execution and instructed the officials to speed up the project works and complete them within the stipulated time.
He advised them to take up the inspection chambers work immediately in 268-km of pipeline laid so far so that it would enable them to restore the roads without further delays, which was a major inconvenience for the public.
Later, he visited the sites where work was being carried out in Saradha Colony, Sanjeev Gandhi Nagar in Guntur city. He instructed the officers to set up flexi boards stating details of work along with the timeliness and helpline number in the sites where the work was done so far.
He instructed the officials to speed up UGD works and complete within stipulated time. He interacted with the residents and inquired about work done in their areas. He said he would monitor the progress on a fortnightly basis.
