Due to its many takers, many fancy shops are selling one gram gold ornaments and exclusive one gram gold shops have been set up. With the demands and the sales soaring, durability of one-gram gold ornaments is a question as the metal’s is said to last for not more than a year.

Women find the latest designs of bangles, chains, chains studded with various precious stones, earrings, lockets, necklaces to be appealing and choose to wear them on casual as well as special occasions.

This seems to be a way to avoid robbery as the value of a single gram of gold is not as valuable.

According to a shop owner Priya, “The bangles are available in the range of Rs 500 to Rs 1,000, earrings between Rs 800 and Rs 1,500 and chains from Rs 500 to Rs 2,500.”
