Rahul inspiring youth to join Congress
The Indian youth are attracted towards the Congress after Rahul Gandhi assumed charge as president, said Utla Varaprasad, Indian Youth Congress secretary. He attended the awareness session on the Prakasam district party internal elections in Ongole on Wednesday as a chief guest.

Varaprasad said that the Congress was built on the sacrifices of great freedom-fighters and always take inspiration from leaders like BR Ambedkar and others.
The Bapatla Lok Sabha in-charge Atluri Vijay Kumar invited all youth from the Prakasam district to join the Congress and participate in the internal elections and serve the public.
The district Youth Congress president, Gurrala Raj Vimal said that the youth aged between 18 to 35 years were eligible to participate in the elections of Youth Congress. He said that about 15 members would be elected for the Assembly constituency-level committee while 16 members for district committee and 16 members for the state committee.
He said that there was a reservation of 12.5 percent for the SC/ ST youth in the committees. He asked the youth to register in the official membership drive starting from January 5 and continue for 40 days. He said those registered in the drive were eligible to vote and participate in the election.
