Penugonda: Andhra Pradesh Labour Minister Pithani Satyanarayana said that the State Government has chalked out a programme Yuva Mahotsav to tap the skills of the youth at rural level in the state.

The Minister inaugurated the Yuva Mahotsav at Penugonda SVKP and DR KS Raju Arts and Science College on Wednesday.

The Yuva Mahotsav was being conducted by District Youth Services Department with the cooperation of NCC, NSS, and Physical Education wings of the college.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that during the Yuva Mahotsav, the organisers were conducting the rural sports of Swimming, Running, Cycling, Kabaddi and other events.

SVKP Educational institutions Secretary and Correspondent DR K Ramachandra Raju, College Principal DR N Suryanarayana, District Society of Employment and Training in West Godavari at Eluru (SETWEL) Chief Executive Officer Ch Subbireddy, District Manager KS Prabhakar addressed the gathering on the occasion.

Later, Swimming and running competitions conducted.In Swimming, SVKP Students A Sai (B com 2nd year), K Dhana Kumar (B Sc 2nd year), S Rajasekhar (B Sc 1st year) won the first three places respectively.

In Running, K Ramesh (B Sc second year), J Manikantha (First year B Sc), V Satish (10th Class, ZP High School, Ilaparru) won the first three places respectively. College NCC officer Dr Kapa Chiranjeevi, NSS officers DVR Srinivas, KV Suresh Babu, T Diwakar, Physical Director B Bapireddy and others participated in the programme.
