Collector, PH kids celebrate new year
District Collector Kartikeya Mishra celebrated New Year with the physically challenged students of Uma Mano Vikasa Kendra at the Collector Camp Office here on Monday.
Kakinada: District Collector Kartikeya Mishra celebrated New Year with the physically challenged students of Uma Mano Vikasa Kendra at the Collector Camp Office here on Monday.
Mishra fondly greeted them and participated in the New Year celebrations by encouraging them to cut a New Year cake.
Speaking on the occasion, Mishra hoped that the New Year would bring sheer joy and happiness in the lives of the mentally and physically challenged kids.
Mishra fed the New Year cake to the students and said that he would extend help through the government schemes designed to protect the physically challenged.
Speaking on the occasion, Executive Director of Uma Mano Vikasa Kendra SP Reddy said it was our responsibility to support these children as they possess latent talent as others. Joint Collectors Mallikarjuna and Radha Krishna Murthy also participated in the celebrations and conveyed their wishes to the children at the event.Project Director K Narayana Reddy, S Uma Reddy, SA Naidu and others participated in the celebrations.
