The Guntur Urban District Police received 722 phone calls from Dial 100 during the period of December 1 to December 31, out of which 13.5 per cent calls were dispute related, 34.8 per cent cases related to road accidents, 4.18 relating to property disputes and 4.7 relating to road accidents.

Guntur: The Guntur Urban District Police received 722 phone calls from Dial 100 during the period of December 1 to December 31, out of which 13.5 per cent calls were dispute related, 34.8 per cent cases related to road accidents, 4.18 relating to property disputes and 4.7 relating to road accidents.

Similarly, 43.49 per cent cases were relating to women, according to Guntur Urban SP Ch Vijaya Rao. As soon as they receive the phone call from the public, they will forward to Blue Colts, Rakshak, and rush the police officials to the spot immediately. They warned against anyone furnishing misleading information on the service, and said that stern action would be taken against them. He urged that people use Dial 100 to report and resolve their grievances.
