Chirala doctors help granny recover from hip fracture

Chirala: Doctors from Sri Kamakshi Hospital in Chirala saved an elderly woman from the bedridden condition for life by conducting an operation to repair her fractured hip bone.

According to the managing director of Sri Kamakshi Hospital Dr Devaraju, a 90-year-old woman, Sarojini, native of Eepurupalem near Chirala broke her hip last week and joined for treatment. After diagnosis, the doctors in the hospital wanted to conduct a surgery on her to repair the broken rib. The orthopedic specialist Dr Venkateswarlu, anesthesia specialist Nageswara Rao, general surgeon Mahesh Reddy took the challenge and successfully completed the surgery. With the post surgery treatment, the woman started to walk with the minimal support within three days.

The hospital management announced that it was one of the rare surgeries to do the hip surgery on elderly woman and make her walk in just three days. The doctors announced that they were providing the best services in the town with lesser charges compared to the corporate hospitals. The patient and her family members thanked the doctors team and the hospital management for the surgery.
