Fertilizers, pesticides worth `3 lakh seized
Vigilance and Enforcement department officials on Wednesday raided the house of Bellamkonda Srinivas at Nemalipuri village under Rajupalem mandal of Guntur district and noticed selling of fertilizers, pesticides, bio-products without obtaining permission from the concerned departments.
Guntur: Vigilance and Enforcement department officials on Wednesday raided the house of Bellamkonda Srinivas at Nemalipuri village under Rajupalem mandal of Guntur district and noticed selling of fertilizers, pesticides, bio-products without obtaining permission from the concerned departments.
They seized fertilizers, pesticides and bio-products worth Rs 3 lakh and booked a case under the Section 2 (B) for keeping the stocks without prior permission from the officials. Speaking on the occasion, Vigilance Circle Inspector Anthony Raju said keeping unauthorised stocks of fertilizers, pesticides and bioproducts was against the law. He said a case was registered. Vigilance officials K Venkata Rao, Sridhar Reddy and Rajupalem, VRO Madhavi were among those who seized the stocks.
