nocAnantapur: District Collector V Durgadas told the officials to strictly adhere to the guidelines suggested by the government in relation to the issuance of no-objection certificates (NOC) for quarrying of mines and minerals in the district. Speaking at a meeting with the officials of the department of mines and minerals at his camp office here on Friday, the Collector said that in connection with the issuance of no-objection certificates, the District Forest Officer, the Revenue Divisional Officer, and the assistant director of mines should undertake a field study and submit a detailed report to him regarding the feasibility of carrying out quarrying. The Collector said according to the guidelines, NOCs should not be issued for quarrying on industrial corridors, assigned lands, forest waste lands and on temple lands. The Joint Collector S Satyanarayana, RDO Shaikh Ismail, Assistant geologist Mohan Rao and others were present. Earlier, in a meeting with gas dealers, the Collector told the officials of the gas agencies to expedite the process of collecting details from the consumers for the issuance of Aadhaar cards. He said that the government would examine the issue of setting up more Aadhaar Centres in the district. He inspected the offices of the gas agencies.
