Rs 10-cr cotton bales gutted

Chilakaluripet: Over 3000 cotton bales worth Rs 10 crore were gutted in a fire mishap in GP Cotton Oil mill on the national highway at Timmapuram in Yedla mandal of Guntur district on Saturday. The cotton bales, belonging to Vasantha Spinners Cotton Corporation were reportedly stocked in the mill. Fire tenders from Chilakaluripet and Guntur have been trying to extinguish the fire when the last reports came in.
