kcrHyderbad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief K Chandrasekhara Rao flayed Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for the latter's remarks on Telangana while countering TRS leader Harish Rao during the debate on no-confidence vote in the Assembly. Talking to reporters at his residence before leaving for New Delhi on Sunday, the TRS supremo stated that no one in a democratic process would appreciate the Chief Minister's statements. It may be recalled that In response to the Harish Rao's listing of step-brotherly treatments received from the government and saying that any benefits received 'were only after holding the collar of the government', Kiran Kumar had countered it with strong worded words, "If that is so, then I will not sanction a single penny to Telangana." (Both leaders had apoligized later and had withdrawn their statements). These remarks of the Kiran Kumar in the Assembly, was against the very spirit of the Constitution and is a violation of privileges of public representatives, KCR felt. He further stated that his party would consult legal experts on this issue. Elaborating on his visit to Delhi, KCR said that he along with TRS MP Vijayashanti would raise the separate state issue in the ongoing budget session of the Parliament. "We will try to stall the proceedings to mount pressure on the Union government," KCR said. It was UPA's onus to fulfil the statehood promise at least in the upcoming budget session to be held from April 22 to May 10. There would be severe backlash if it ignored the issue again, warned KCR.
