Lakshmi Parvati blasts decision to divide state
Welcoming the decision of YSR Congress honorary president YS Vijayamma and president YS Jaganmohan Reddy to submit resignations to their MLA and MP posts respectively for a united state, Lakshmi Parvati said here on Sunday that Sonia Gandhi had decided to divide the state in a bid to make her son Rahul Gandhi prime minister.
Welcoming the decision of YSR Congress honorary president YS Vijayamma and president YS Jaganmohan Reddy to submit resignations to their MLA and MP posts respectively for a united state, Lakshmi Parvati said here on Sunday that Sonia Gandhi had decided to divide the state in a bid to make her son Rahul Gandhi prime minister.
Addressing the media here, Lakshmi Parvati said that Rahul Gandhi would not become even a Member of Parliament if the States were divided like this.Recalling the wrong decision taken by the former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, she said that had the former chief minister given a minister post to KCR there would not have been any agitation for a separate state.
She dared the Congress party to introduce the bill in the Assembly on the separate Telangana.
She praised the late chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy for his efforts to keep the state together. Lakshmi Parvati said that the judicial courts would be approached if the division of the state was not stopped. Ridiculing the appointment of Antony Committee, she said that it was like a tail to the UPA chairperson. “Nothing could be achieved with such committees,” she added.
The State would be developed if the State remained united, she opined and recalled the stand taken by the late chief minister N T Rama Rao to keep the state intact.
