ESL meets Sonia on state bifurcation

The Centre will hold a crucial meeting on Telangana on Friday which will have all the key members and representatives will be in attendance. Home Secretary RK Singh is expected to ask the ministers for a status report outlining all the nitty gritties of dividing Andhra Pradesh.

The key representatives will also hold talks on the development of backward areas, particularly Seemandhra. It's worth mentioning here that Governor ESL Narasimhan on Wednesday met AICC chief Sonia Gandhi, PResident Pranab Mukherjee, Chidambaram, Sushil Kumar Shinde and Digvijaya Singh in Delhi with Congress top brass on the issue of state bifurcation. He is believed to have told them about the political situation in the state.
