The JAC leaders flayed the Seemandhra Congress leaders for not responding to the agitation though the people have been protesting for the last 92 days since the decision for dividing the State was announced.
They said that even children knew that Seemandhra people would suffer loss if the State was divided but our leaders have been indifferent to the people’s aspirations.They warned that the people would teach them a fitting lesson in the next elections.
Traffic came to a standstill due to the rasta roko.
The Samaikyandhra JAC would organise “The heartbeat of teacher and disciple’ on the premises of Kattamanchi English Medium School on November 1, the linguistic State formation day. The programme would elaborate the reasons for the formation of the State and the reasons that led to the decision to divide the State to the students.
Kattamanchi Janardhan, head of Kattamanchi institutions, said that two lakh students would participate in the ‘Vidyardhula Melukolupu’ programme. “The programme would be an eye-opener to the Central leaders who were under the impression that the Samaikyandhra agitation was subdued,” he added.
Intermediate lecturerws JAC leader Chennaiah said that Rayalaseema people had become nomadic people. “Since Independence, there were three capitals for Telugu people and we are not ready for another capital,” he remarked.
He said that Kurnool had been an inspiration to the Seemandhra districts in organising the agitation.
Recalling the programmes like Laksha Gala Ghosha, Mahilia Garjana, Maha Manavaharam and others, he said that these programmes were unique and inspiration to the rest of the 12 districts.
The JAC leaders exhorted the students and people to participate in “The heartbeat of teachers and disciples’ programme to be held at Raj Vihar Centre on November 1.
Engingeering College JAC Mohan, degree lecturers JAC leader Somasekhar, Gurukul Schools JAC leaders, Medic JAC leaders and others were present.
