Observe Nov 1 as ‘Betrayal Day’: TJAC, Telangana Joint Action Committee. It also decided to strongly object if the Centre decides to extend the areas of joint capital beyond the revenue district of Hyderabad.

The Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) has appealed to the people to observe November 1 (State Formation Day) as betrayal day and to lodge their strong protest against YSR Congress honorary president Vijayamma when she would visit the flood-affected areas of Nalgonda district.
TJAC steering committee, which met here on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Prof Kodandaram, discussed the note the Union Home Ministry had sent to the GoM on Tuesday in regard to the bifurcation of the State.
It also decided to strongly object if the Centre decides to extend the areas of joint capital beyond the revenue district of Hyderabad. The meeting also discussed about Article 371-d, which said that if necessary it should be repealed or restructured. Employee leaders expressed views that it was not a major issue since an amendment in the wordings of the Act would be enough.
TJAC also decided to motivate students and other organisations to express their views to GoM by mailing reports. Already few organisations had sent in their versions following suggestions by JAC members.
Later briefing media, JAC leaders called upon people in 10 districts to wear black badges, hold rallies and protests besides boycotting official programmes on November 1.
