Hyderabad: Minister for Information and Public Relations D K Aruna on Monday flagged off a new fleet of vehicles intended for district public relation officers (DPROs) in 23 districts of the State. Equipped with the state of the art facilities, these four-wheelers of Mahindra Bolero model also have internet connectivity on the go besides laptop, tablet and a digital
camera.
Information and Public Relations commissioner Dana Kishore and other officials of the department were present at the programme held at the I and PR office at Masahab Tank. Speaking on the occasion, the minister informed that the decision to hand over new vehicles to DPROs was taken since officials were facing difficulties while commuting in old vehicles at several places in the districts. After the finance department’s nod these new vehicles were purchased with a budgetary allocation of Rs 1.75 crore, she informed. DPROs promoted
