Seemandhra MPs' Sankalpa Deeksha at Indira Park begins, Sankalpa Deeksha. MPs Harsha Kumar, Lagadapati Rajagopal, Vundavalli Arun Kumar, Sai Pratap and Sabbam Hari are participating in the fast.
MPs from Seemandhra began 'Sankalpa Deeksha' , a two-day fast at Indira Park in Hyderabad amid tight security. They are protesting against the Centre's decision to divide Andhra Pradesh. The fast coincides with the debate on Telangana Bill to be taken up by the state legislature in AP Assembly which started today.
MPs Harsha Kumar, Lagadapati Rajagopal, Vundavalli Arun Kumar, Sai Pratap and Sabbam Hari are participating in the fast.
The talk in the Congress circles is that the fast is being held with the support of Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy. Several Congress leaders including Pitani Satyanrayana and Rajya Sabha member KVP have expressed their solidarity with the fasting MPs.
