Six accused in sarpanch murder nabbed, Julakanti Pulinder Reddy, sarpanch of Narsimhlugudem. Six alleged killers of Julakanti Pulinder Reddy, the CPI (M) sarpanch of Narsimhlugudem in Munagala mandal of the district were arrested on Thursday.
Nalgonda: Six alleged killers of Julakanti Pulinder Reddy, the CPI (M) sarpanch of Narsimhlugudem in Munagala mandal of the district were arrested on Thursday. Three others are absconding, Superintendent of Police Prabhakar Rao told the media.
He said the investigation into the murder, which took place on the morning of January 30, has revealed that it was due to struggle for gaining upper hand between the CPI (M) and the Congress in the village. Nine persons were involved in the killing.
The arrested persons were Shaik Shabbir, Koppula Lakshminarayana, Shaik Jaleel, Shaik Ibrahim, Dulipala Narendra, Shaik Ramjaan. Shaik Saida, Mathangi Srinu and Musuku Anjaneyulu were absconding, the SP stated.
