Seemandhra MPs intensified their protests against the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh in the Parliament.
The MPs from Congress and the TDP, tore papers in the Rajya Sabha and broke chairman's mike forcing the the House to be adjourned till noon.
With reports that the Centre is all set to introduce the AP Reorganisation Bill in the Rajya Sabha today, Seemandhra MPs did not let the House run.
MPs including newly elected Rajya Sabha member KVP Ramachandra Rao stormed into the well of the House and carried placards bearing 'Jai Samaikya Andhra Pradesh, We want United Andhra Pradesh' (hail united Andhra Pradesh) opposing the division of state. With members unrelenting, the Speaker adjourned the House till noon.
Meanwhile, MP from Telangana V Hanumantha Rao who was witness to KVP's protest, alleged that KVP has back-stabbed Congress party after being elected to Rajya Sabha for a second term. "I thought CM Kiran Kumar Reddy only was a back stabber. Now, another leader KVP has joined him."
He said that KVP who was silent till he got renominated to the Rajya Sabha was behaving indifferently now.
He also said that KVP was hatching a plot to hinder the Telangana process. "I asked Parliamentary affairs minister Rajiv Shukla as to how they gave a ticket to leaders like KVP," VH added.
