Tirumala attacker escapes en route to jail, Rohit Nair, psycho Kumar. The victims suffered bleeding injuries. Police had brought Kumar here in a jeep for detention in the jail.
Kadapa: In a sensational incident, the mentally deranged man Kumar, who is suspected to be psycho, caught by police after he attacked three devotees in Tirumala on Saturday managed to escape while being taken to the central jail here in the early hours of Sunday.
Emerging from bushes, Kumar had attacked the family members of Rohit Nair of Rajasthan, while they were walking up the hills, about four km from Tirumala, between Narasimha Swamy and Anjaneya Swamy temples.
The victims suffered bleeding injuries. Police had brought Kumar here in a jeep for detention in the jail. At around 4.30 kumar managed to escape into bushes by shoving aside police. Shocked, police deployed a team to take up a widespread search for the psycho. A case was registered in RIMS police station. The district administration released Kumar’s pictures, with instructions to people to telephone 100 any information regarding his whereabouts. It also cautioned them to be alert.
