Vizianagaram: Telugu Desam party president Chandrababu Naidu addressing a mammoth gathering of TDP activists at the Praja Garjana here on Wednesday said that Visakhapatnam would become the economic capital of the State and Andhra Pradesh would be developed on the lines of China and Korea.

The TDP chief recalled that Narendra Modi had reiterated several times that the division of the State was unjust. “It was hoped that the Bharatiya Janata Party would stop the division of the State. But it did not fight for it,” he rued. Referring to the industrialisation of the State, he stressed the establishment of agro-based industries for achieving quick development and more employment.

He said that Telangana people were not against the Andhra people nor the latter had any grudge against Telangana people. “But everyone is bitter towards Sonia Gandhi,” he said. He said that the new government would decide on the new capital of the State. “The youth have been raring to go for voting in favour of TDP and looking forward to TDP coming to power,” he noted.

Amidst the applause of the audience, he exhorted people to launch the victory march from Vizianagaram to capture power and rebuild a great state. Referring to the great people like Gurazada Appa Rao who were born in Vizianagaram, he said that it was unfortunate that people like Botcha Satyanarayana were also born here.
