Not contesting: Vimalakka

Hyderabad: Telangana United Front (TUF) co-chairperson Vimalakka on Sunday refuted reports that she would contest from Sircilla, on TRLD ticket. She told the media the dream of Telangana was yet to be achieved, as the region was not free from the ‘supremacy of settlers’.

There was a need for alternate movement for rights of underprivileged. Striving for the goal without being part of any political party would help achieve ‘absolute Statehood’ Vimalakka said there was a need for leaders, like her, to take up public issues outside the Assembly. She wanted the Wakf land to be retrieved from encroachers.
