Allagadda constituency: Whom YSR Congress Party would support?

Hyderabad: The most tragic death of Shobha Nagireddy has puzzled the threatening elections for Allagadaa assembly constituency. With the instructions received from the Election Commission of India, the polls will be held as it is in Allagadda. However, the fan symbol allocated for late Shobha Rani will be blocked in all EVMs. At this juncture, the YSR Congress Party is left with no other option than extending their support to any one independent candidate who could later be turned as YSR Congress Party member, after the conclusion of polls.

There were as many as 14 members who submitted their nomination papers. Bhooma Brahmananda Reddy, Singam Venkateswara Reddy and Dasthagiri, who are the supporters of Shobha Nagireddy, have filed their nominations as independent candidates. However, Brahmananda Reddy has later withdrawn his nomination. So, there are chances that YSR Congress Party may support the candidature of either Venkateswara Reddy or Dasthagiri. According to sources, the chances of YSR Congress Party supporting Dasthagiri are very bright.
