To take Brand Hyderabad to greater heights

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi campaigned in the city on Friday. While addressing a public meeting at LB Stadium, Rahul promised to make Hyderabad as the number one city in India. He also said that he would take ‘Brand Hyderabad’ to greater heights. Wooing the Telangana public, Rahul said that he wanted to wear a watch which would be made in Telangana.

Rahul’s speech lasted just 15 minutes. Former minister Danam Nagender, who was asked to translate his speech, faltered many a time. In fact Rahul had to remind Nagender several times on the points missed by him.

Unfortunately, the crowd turnout was abysmal. Danam Nagender, while translating the speech of Rahul, had to request the gathering to clap on several occasions. Senior Congress leaders Vyalar Ravi and Gulam Nabi Azad were also present on the dais.

Amberpet Assembly Candidate V Hanumatha Rao had a bitter experience at the venue. He was not allowed to go to the dais by Rahul’s security personnel.

The traffic was thrown out of gear in and around the Assembly, LB Stadium and Abids because of the public meeting .
